What I wore: Jets Tee by Old Navy, Dolman Sweater by Old Navy, Houlihan Jean by J Brand, Shoes by YSL, Bracelets by Anuja Tolia, Rings Purchased on St.Mark's, Bag by Rebecca Minkoff
What I wore: Jets Tee by Old Navy, Dolman Sweater by Old Navy, Denimn Legging Short by J Brand, Shoes by Christian Louboutin, Bracelets by Anuja Tolia, Rings Purchased on St.Mark's, Bag by Rebecca Minkoff

As the newly appointed blogger for Old Navy, I found myself stopping into the store quite a few times in the past few weeks. I am a total fan of comfortable tees, and their new line of team-tees are unbelievably soft. With football season beginning this week, I grabbed a couple in support of my NY teams, plus I picked up a great layering sweater for the upcoming autumn season. Now, I couldn't decide...J Brand Houlihans or J Brand Olympia Legging Shorts? And as for the real question...Who are we rooting for this season New York? Jets or Giants?

Launch of Anuja Tolia Jewelry

Lately the only jewelry I have been wearing is Anuja Tolia. It is all that I wore in Miami (here, here, here, and here-where, I must add, it garnered compliments from numerous designers and even our favorite supermodel, Irina Shayk!), and it is all that I have been wearing out and about in my everyday NYC life.
I. AM. OBSESSED.
And...I assure you, it is not hard to be. At all.
I am ecstatic to be the first to introduce you to this up-and-coming designer and present to you her very first collection!
Tolia's debut collection is a glamorous mix of what she names as Indian artisanship and Western flare. She has not only traveled the globe, but she has studied across the world as well. With extensive time spent in New York City and in Florence, Italy, and what seems to be everywhere in between, her work certainly shows the influences of the numerous cultures that she has been immersed in. With the use of semi-precious stones, real silver, and gold plating, each piece exemplifies true beauty and a deep sophistication. Yet, it is worth noting the use of exotic and rough unfinished stones in much of her work, which gives her line an extremely contemporary, extremely edgy, and extremely playful twist. With the line divided into three sub-collections, named Florentine, Ready-to-Wear, and Couture, Tolia is able to speak to a wide variety of people. From the big and the bold to the intricate and the delicate, there is definitely a piece (or in my case many, many pieces) for everyone.

With this inaugural collection (Fall/Winter 2010) comes a fabulous launch party and trunk show...and you are ALL invited! Check out this exclusive invitation below and RSVP ASAP! Each piece is handmade, and many are one-of-a-kind, so make sure to get to the event to get first dibs on this amazing jewelry line!

Diary From Miami Fashion Week Swim: Day One

Finally back from the crazy week in Miami that was Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim 2011. Overall, the week was unreal. As the Fashion Editor for Swimwear for Future Claw Magazine, I was responsible for video interviews with every designer. How unbelievably cool is that?! And to reaaaalllly kick off the week, we decided to grab an interview with Supermodel Irina Shayk, who is not only the face of Beach Bunny Swimwear, and not to mention has been gracing the pages of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition since 2007, but has also designed some prrrreetttttty hot swimsuits herself! We talked about everything from her love of Woody Allen movies to her habit of purchasing a bathing suit in every country that she travels to. I had an absoulte blast chatting with her. She was such a sweetheart, and my gosh, one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen. Oh, and she prefers to wear two-piece bathing suits..I mean, with a body like that...go figure.
After interviewing Irina, we hustled over to the Raleigh Hotel to kick off the fashion week runway shows. Trina Turk opened the week with her first ever Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim Runway Show. With inspirations from Acapulco, she displayed a mix of her signature bold prints, along with some stellar solid pieces. I was definitely, definitely, definitely most digging the crazy, fun, tall hats that she sent down the runway!
Check out my photo diary of the day below, and go to Future Claw Magazine for more coverage, including videos (my video interviews as well as complete videos of every show) and pictures for all of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim 2011.

And I can't forget about all of the after parties! After the Trina Turk show, we headed to Plunge at the rooftop of the Gansevoort Hotel in South Beach for Irina Shayk's Ocean Drive Cover Party. Besides Irina, we ran into a few other models, as well as former 'NSYNC-er, Lance Bass!
