What I wore: Cape Sweater, Leggings, Slippers, Hat, and Scarf by Old Navy. Eco-Friendly Coffee Mug by Old Navy.
Old Navy's fall collection has expanded tremendously and as I continue my project for Alison Brod PR Agency as an official blogger for the well known brand, I continue to find myself pleasantly surprised to discover tons of pieces that are just my cup of tea.

New York Fashion Week and all of its crazy happenings aren't slated to start for another week, but if you've been keeping up with us on twitter, you will know that last night was already extremely event-filled. I found one event to be particularly interesting. Wet Seal and New York's number one radio station, Z100, hosted a Back-to-School blowout party where they unveiled the new BTS collection by Vanilla Star Jeans. The entire collection was designed by students. Yes, students. And no, not students from FIT or Parsons, but high school students. The autumn/winter line, which featured all of the season's necessities with everything from jeans, to skirts, to jackets, to tees (and much, much more), was completely designed in collaboration with students from the High School of Fashion Industries. Truly impressive.

Growing up in London, the dynamite sibling duo of Abba and Kabir "Micky" Manchanda channeled the culture of their European upbringing to bring us this hot new clothing line which is most properly named, Micky London. Now, as New Yorkers, the two have combined the sophistication of the British with the edge of New York City to create a brand and style all their own. The Micky London girl dresses for success, is independent, and loves not only her career, but the excitement of city life and a fun night out among friends and family. Hence the clear ability for each piece to cross from day-to-night, from work-to-a-night-on-the-town! And not only does ML have great day-to-evening versatility, but it also bridges the gap between mother and daughter dressing. The entire collection is completely ageless. I mean really, what girl doesn't have a ball in her own mother's closet? Now moms will be raiding their daughter's closets, too. Overall, Micky London is a collection to share, where age is certainly not an issue. The silhouettes are both classic and flattering. Plus, each piece that embodies a pop of vibrant color fits perfectly into any wardrobe. Serious with a real spark of sexy, Micky London is all about attitude.
