Amazonian Skinfood

Who better to champion the environment and the Amazon than a team of Latinas? Founded and Latin-Owned Amazonian Skinfood doesn't just save your skin, but it contributes to preservation of the Amazon Rainforest. With an ancestral connection to the Rainforest, the brand is focused on sustainability and effective eco-living. Whether it be the effectiveness of the products and their clean, natural ingredients or their eco-friendly packaging, the brand offers alternatives to the mainstreams that uphold dignity and address the impact that brands can have on communities of all scales. Their Face Cream and Facial Oil are life changing on a personal basis. My skin has nearly immediately brightened, tightened and smoothed - validating that feeding your skin the right foods ends in  positive results.

Drift: Fragile Future x The Shed

In an impressive immersive experience, DRIFT: Fragile Future has become the must-see exhibition of the moment in NYC. Calming, yet thought provoking as it addresses the challenges our planet faces, this exhibit takes its audience on a journey and lesson in facing change. Movement and constant change of forms are highlighted in different forms. Set to a soundtrack created by ANOHNI, DRIFT: Fragile Future feels as fragile as it is imposing. Head to The Shed to drift away today.

Chained For Life

An examination of disability and the power of what is deemed as "beauty" in  the entertainment industry and in society, Chained For Life is a new film that addresses these issues.  Brooklyn-based Filmmaker Aaron Schimberg delivers a Twilight Zone-esque, interesting, surreal satire, that will leave you both heart-warmed, yet questioning the real meanings of beauty and humanity.

Earth Day

Mayor Bloomberg & Me
What I was wearing: Jacket by Dolce & Gabbana jacket, Scarf by Sir Alistair Rai, Bag by Longchamp

From the volcanic eruption in Iceland, to the Hubble Telescope in outer space, and right back to my playground known as NYC, the world is celebrating Earth Day. Even Mayor Bloomberg was riding the subway (yes, that subway-mass transit/public transportation!) this morning to do his part in conserving the planet!
