While working with Bare Necessities again (see the first time here), the biggest online retailer for intimates -(they boast the biggest collection of bras and panties - we traveled to a lake estate in Sherman, Connecticut with photographer Peter Curti to shoot a story inspired by the September 2009 Marie Claire editorial which featured Ashley Olsen.

National Underwear Day

Today is National Underwear Day, so what better timing for the CurveNY Designer Lingerie and Swim Show Expo? I spent this past week over at the Javitz Center covering the event and conducting video interviews for WeKnowTv. We spoke with some pretty high-ups at only the best lingerie companies. We learned of some new products coming our way from the popular brand, Commando (such as new cuts and prints on their world renowned panties, plus more perfect-fit hosiery pieces), from company owner, Kerry O'Brien. We were informed by the Head of Sales at Hanky Panky, that in the 1980s, they were the inventor of the very first Original Rise Thong (not to mention that they are full supporters of Sisquo's "Thong Song"). This season they will introduce, among a plethora of new undies, some longer-cut, sexy, lace boy shorts. I also spotted some new, note-worthy brands, such as Body Rock Sport, which had some cool activewear undergarments, as well as Bordelle which really caught my eye with their craaaaazy, completely unique, and totalllllly edgy pieces. More than 250 brands unveiled their Spring/Summer 2011 Collections at the show so you will have to catch our segment, set to air on NYC TV September 2, for more sneak peeks at what's to come in the world of intimates!
