Out of This World

What I wore: Body Suit by American Apparel, Leggings by Lauren Conrad, Zoe Boots by Sam Edelman

Photography by Jacqueline Iannacone Photography
Make-Up by Emanuel Garcia
Styling/Modeling by Megan Averbuch

I recently revisited my extreme love for the Balenciaga/Sam Edelman Zoe Boots (most recently here, and also see them here). Being that the boots are sooooo, soooo, soooooooooooo amazing, they more than fit, both literary and figuratively, into the "out-of-this-world" theme of this shoot.
And...I can't decide...Do we prefer this picture in color...or in black and white?

Special Thanks to photographer Jaqueline Iannacone.Working with her is ALWAYS a blast! See our other recent shoot here.

Feel the Rush!

I helped to style hot new singer and song-writer Monica Rush for her performance at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn this past weekend! She preformed at the sold out show with big names such as Talib Kwell, Ghostface, Jay Electricona, and Blackroc. Not only does she have a banging urban style, but the girl can saaaang...and dance! She's definitely legit. Check out her website and her catchy single (I've already proclaimed it as my new pregaming/getting ready/going out anthem) "100 Dolla Bill" here!!

Monica Rush performing at the Knitting Factory, 1/20/10, Brooklyn, NY
Monica Rush wore Top by Emma & Sam, Vest by Millau, Leggings are artist's own, Jewlery is also artist's own, Leather Chain Glove by Carolina Amato , & (you can't tell from this picture) Sam Edelman Zoe Boot

Also check out Monica Rush's Fan Page on Facebook & Follow her on Twitter!

Isn't she so freaking hot?! Her album drops this fall and she is totally the next big breakthrough in the hip-hop/electronic/funk/pop industry! I bet you'll be RUSH-ing to stores for this one! I mean really, this girl does it allllllllll.

my most favorite boots in the whole wide world!!!!

OK, OK so MK has the Balenciaga version but the Sam Edelman Zoe Boots, which mind you look nearly EXACTLY the same, are BY FAR my most favorite pair of shoes in my closet at the moment. Yes, they even beat out designer shoes like my Louboutins, Pradas, YSLs, etc. (you get the picture). I know, maybe I'm sick, but hey, they're so so so so soooo comfortable and just completely kick assssssss. Check out my 11/9 post where I wore them for our photo shoot (minus the detachable harness). ANDDDDD, these boots have been sold out everywhereeeeeee but now I know that I can hook YOU up with a pair. If you're interested, contact me ASAP as they will sell out fast and this might very well be your last chance to get your hands on these little pieces of heaven!

Empire State of Mind

Ok, Ok..So it isn't the Empire State building in the pictures (it's the Chrysler), but this past weekend really put me in a New York State of Mind. It might have started with Jay-Z's performance of his 'Empire State of Mind' song at the Ticker-Tape Parade (which was crazy fun, WOO YANKEES!) or maybe it's this BEAUTIFUL weather (Indian Summer please?!!?)...Either way, it was the perfect weekend for our first photo shoot!
