Phoenix The Play Review

While only enjoyable for a short run, ending as soon as August 23, Phoenix is an off-Broadway play not to be missed. Playing Monday through Saturday at the intimate Cherry Lane Theater in the West Village, this dark comedy will have you laughing out loud one moment and pondering life itself the next. Amit Gajwani, as discussed in our feature here, sets the stage with his styling choices for the play's modern day setting. Meanwhile, Julia Stiles proves her presence on the theatrical stage, alongside top-notch actor, James Wirt.  Together, they play out the consequences of a one-night-stand, and embark on a journey to Phoenix, Arizona together.  Their charisma and chemistry are dynamite, their comedic timing is on-point. Overall, a guaranteed fun night out on the town with the simple reminder to always use protection!

She+Lo Launch Event

Available later this month with their debut collection, She+Lo celebrated their brand's launching with candy, cocktails and a fantastic view from The Jimmy lounge atop the luxurious James Hotel here in NYC. Besides combining their names, designers Shelia Nazarian and Lauren Darrah combine California casual with NYC's edge to create a stellar line of accessible, well-crafted handbags. A preview of their inaugural Fall 2014 and Holiday collections proves that She+Lo has, from the get-go, established themselves as a destination for cool, trendy bags.

Bijulesterie is officially open. A seance ushered in this new chapter for NYC-based jewelry brand, Bijules. With a space on the Bowery, designer Jules Kim, revealed her showroom as well as her latest collection.  The atmosphere evoked a new experience, touching upon the senses, not only through a newly developed scent (which Ms. Kim created with renowned perfumery Six Scents), but with beautiful flower styling by 11x11 and unbelievably unique art by Sylvia Hommert. Displayed in a 125 gallon antique aquarium, discovering the Bijules brand is by appointment only.

HONOR Fall 2012

With unbelievable attention to detail, the HONOR Fall 2012 Collection features gorgeous Byzantine lace, leather trims on both the outside as well and the inside under pinnings of the garments, inspiring prints, plus beautiful fabrics from France, Switzerland, and the UK. Still, the entire line is produced exclusively in NYC under Head Designer and CEO Giovanna Randall, an opera singer-turned pre-medical student-turned fashion designer. A recent visit to their showroom also introduced a collaboration with style and fashion maven, Tabitha Simmons, which included shoes and standout handbags that embodied an Art Deco feel.
